Does it cost anything?
No. Cleared to Care is free for care workers — to apply, interview, train and keep your passport.
Can care providers find me?
Only if you turn on “open to work”. Providers then see your first name, area, the roles you want, your availability and which checks are verified — never your contact details or documents. They can invite you to apply; you decide.
Who can see my information?
Only employers you apply to or choose to share your passport with. You can see who you've shared it with.
Do I still need checks done by a new employer?
Your new employer still has to confirm your checks, but having everything ready in your passport makes it much quicker.
Is the interview done by a person?
The first interview is with Elizabeth, an AI interviewer, so you can do it any time. The care provider's team reads your answers and makes every decision.
